2 Security
Warning! Before you start welding, please read the safety instructions carefully,
understand the hazards involved in welding and carry out the relevant
inspections. Some hazards can be fatal!
2.1 Before welding
2.1.1 Environmental control
a)
The machine must be operated in a low-dust environment. Large quantities of dust can enter the machine. If
the dust contains conductive substances, this could damage the machine and even endanger people's safety.
b)
Keep the machine running in a dry environment.
c)
The machine must be operated in a well-ventilated environment. During welding, smoke and gases may be
generated. Good ventilation is beneficial for personal safety.
d)
This machine cannot be used in rain or snow.
e)
This machine cannot be used to defrost pipes!
f)
Make sure there are no flammable or explosive substances nearby.
2.1.2 Checking the machine
a)
Check that the supply voltage is correct. If the input voltage is too high, the machine may be damaged; if the
input voltage is too low, the machine may not start.
b)
Check that the power cord to the soldering unit is properly connected. Damaged connections can cause
ignition and exposed wires can present a risk of electrocution.
c)
Check that the earth wire is correctly connected. If it is not connected correctly, it could cause an electric shock!
d)
Check output polarity.
2.1.3
Experienced staff
a)
The personnel using the welding unit must be experienced and have received appropriate training.
b)
Do not dismantle the machine or work on it while it is being dismantled.
c)
Welding personnel must take appropriate protective measures, wearing protective clothing, welding bonnets
and hearing protection.
2.2 During welding work
2.2.1 Toxic gases
a)
Please wear a mask when welding. During welding, toxic gases or suspended particles may be generated.
Even if you are in a well-ventilated environment and only inhale a small quantity of harmful substances, long-
term inhalation is still dangerous.
2.2.2 Dangers of high frequency
a)
Some machines operate at high frequency, which may cause interference with certain instruments. Care
