Before Initial Use

CAUTION!
■ Keep children and animals away from the packaging material. There is a danger of
suffocation, as well as other hazards!
• Unpack all parts and check the items supplied for completeness (see the "Items
Supplied and Device Overview" chapter) and transport damage. Remove any stickers
and fi lms that may exist. If the device does have any damage, do not use it(!), but
contact our customer service department.

Operation

CAUTION!
■ Do not use the device on wet hair. The hair must be at least towel-dried!
■ Always check the device for damage before putting it into operation. If the device, the
mains cable or the plug shows visible signs of damage, the device must not be used.
Do not use the device if it has malfunctioned or been dropped in water.
■ Only place the device down on heat-resistant surfaces.
■ The brush will become hot during use. Be careful when handling the brush and only
hold the device by the handle. Keep the brush away from the face, in particular the
eyes. Also maintain a safe distance between the head and brush of at least 3-5 cm.
Putting Into Operation
1. Connect the device to a properly installed power socket with the corresponding tech-
nical data. On the LCD display (2) you will see OFF.
2. To switch on the device, hold down the On/Off switch (4) for approx. 3 seconds. The
LCD display (2) will light up and in it the temperature display will fl ash. The device
starts to heat up. The preset temperature is 160°C.
3. Use the temperature selection buttons (3) to set the temperature you want. The tem-
perature can be adjusted in 20°C increments. Once the set temperature is reached,
the display stops fl ashing. You can now start using the device (see the "Use" section).
• You can choose a temperature between 120°C and 200°C. When you
change the temperature, it takes around 3 minutes for the newly set
temperature to be reached.
• The device has a built-in button lock. Press the On/Off switch twice in
quick succession to lock the temperature selection buttons. A lock symbol
appears on the LCD display (2). Repeat this process to unlock the tem-
perature selection buttons again. The lock symbol on the LCD display (2)
goes out.
4. Hold down the On/Off switch (4) again for approx. 3 seconds to switch off the device.
Always remove the mains plug from the plug socket when the device is not in use.
