Dangers of Injury
Caution: Danger of suffocation and injury! Keep the packaging material and the
device away from children and animals. The device is not a toy!
Make sure that the connected mains cable does not present a trip hazard. Do not
allow it to hang over the edge of tables or cupboards. Others may become caught
and pull the device down.
The brush will become hot during use! Be careful when handling the brush and only
hold the device by the handle. Keep the brush away from the face, in particular the
eyes. Also maintain a safe distance between the head and brush of at least 3-5 cm.
Danger of Electric Shock and Fire
Use the device only in closed rooms.
Only ever connect the device to a properly installed plug socket. The plug socket
must also be readily accessible after connection. The mains voltage must match the
data on the rating plate of the device.
Always check the device for damage before putting it into operation. If the device, the
mains cable or the plug shows visible signs of damage, the device must not be used.
Do not use the device if it has malfunctioned or been dropped in water.
Switch off the device and pull the mains plug out of the plug socket if an error occurs
during operation, if liquids or foreign bodies get into the device, if errors are displayed
or before a thunderstorm.
Always pull the plug and never the mains cable.
Never immerse the device in water or other liquids! Ensure that the device, mains
cable or plug cannot fall into water or become wet. Should the device fall into water,
switch off the power supply immediately. Do not try to retrieve the device from the
water!
Never touch the device, the mains cable or the plug with wet hands.
Never leave the device unattended when it is switched on or connected to the mains.
Do not connect the device to an extension cable.
Keep combustible materials, e.g. cardboard, plastic or paper, away from the device
and never place the device down on combustible objects or surfaces during and after
operation.
Do not use the device if highly fl ammable gases (e.g. hairspray) are present in the air.
Maintain a suffi cient distance from heat sources such as hobs or ovens in order not
to damage the device. Do not place any naked fl ames, e.g. burning candles, in the
immediate vicinity of the device, mains cable or plug.
Unwind the mains cable fully before connecting up the device.
Always allow the device to cool down completely before putting it away.
