9.4 FUEL FiLtER

Can be removed (through the refuelling hole fig.1
item 13) by using a hook and by holding it with
long nose pliers.
Replace the filter at least once a year.
- Use a genuine filter.

9.5 OiL FiLtER

Can be removed for cleaning (through the refuel-
ling hole (fig.1 item14) by using a hook and by
holding it with long nose pliers.
Replace it if it appears damaged.
- Position the filter in the bottom right section of the
tank (to ensure the oil is correctly drawn).

9.6 SPARK PLUG

Check the condition of the spark plug at least
once a year or if the engine struggles to start.
Wait until the engine cools down before carrying
out the operation.
1) Remove the cap and unscrew the spark plug
with the key supplied (fig.25).
Check and possibly adjust the distance between
the electrodes (fig. 26).
If stubborn dirt and high wear of the electrodes
is noticed, replace with a spark plug of the same
type (fig.26).
Stubborn dirt can occur if:
# the oil in the fuel is too much and/or the oil
quality is unsuitable.
# the air filter is partly obstructed.
2) Manually screw the spark plug to the end of
its thread to avoid damaging its housing. Use
a suitable key only for the tightening operation
(fig.25).
3) Do not carry out repair work on the chain saw
(unless you are qualified to do so). Contact an
approved service centre.

DANGER!! in order to maintain the
original safety conditions, do not carry
out any alterations on the chain saw.
When carrying out repair work, only use
genuine parts.
An improper mantainance, use of non original
components, the removal and/or damage of
the safety devices can be very dangerous,
even mortal (see chapter B: "SAFEtY DE-
ViCES").
9.7 CHECKiNG tHE SCREWS, FiXED AND
MOViNG PARtS
# Before each use, please make sure there are
no loose or damaged screws / parts and that the
bar and chain are not significantly worn.
# make sure the damaged parts are replaced
by an approved service centre before using the
chain saw.
9.8 CLEANiNG, tRANSPORt AND StORAGE
# If the chain saw needs to be transported or
unused for long periods of time, empty the fuel
tank.
# Do not use strong liquid cleaners.
# Store the chain saw in a dry and safe room, not
accessible to children.
# When transporting or storing the chain saw,
cover the guide bar and the chain by using the
guide bar guard provided.
