3.3.2 Control channel/motion detector
If the receiver used is equipped with a control chan-
nel, it is possible to trigger an action via this channel,
e. g. to activate a visual or acoustical signal device or
to start the recording of a video recorder. At the trans-
mitter the control channel is activated by connecting
the yellow line to ground (black line). Connect e. g. a
motion detector with closing contact (NO) to these
lines.

3.3.3 Power supply

For power supply, a regulated power supply with an
output voltage between 7 V
e. g. MONACOR PS-500ST. The current consump-
tion of the transmitter is 250 mA at 12 V.
1) In case of power supply units with variable output
voltage, adjust them between 7 V and 30 V.
2) Connect the power supply unit:
The positive pole to the red line and the negative
pole to the black line.
3) Make all other connections before connecting the
power supply unit to a mains socket (230 V~/50 Hz).
After applying the operating voltage, the transmit-
ter is switched on.

3.4 Channel selection

The wireless transmission is made in the 5.8 GHz
range on 16 channels with a distance of 9 MHz. The
reception antenna must be aligned in parallel to the
transmitting antenna, and on the transmitter, the
same channel must be adjusted as on the receiver.
Ex factory, the transmitter is adjusted to channel 1
(5.732 GHz). If required, another channel can be
adjusted with the channel switches (1), see table 2 on
page 5. For this purpose remove the cover of the
transmitter.
For simultaneous operation of several transmitters
and receivers use a different channel for each pair of
transmitter/receiver. When all transmitting antennas
and reception antennas are aligned the same way
(e. g. all of them in vertical position), always two chan-
nels have to remain vacant between the channels
used. In this case e. g. only the channels 1, 4, 7, 10,
13, and 16 can be used, i. e. a maximum of 6 chan-
nels at the same time.

If it is possible to align the antennas of adjacent
transmitters and receivers differently (alternately in a
vertical position and in a horizontal position), only one
channel has to remain vacant between the channels
used, e. g.:
channel 1 with vertical polarization
channel 3 with horizontal polarization
channel 5 with vertical polarization
channel 7 with horizontal polarization
etc.
Thus, it is possible to use 8 channels at the same
time.
