the battery inside cars in hot weather.
y Do not expose the battery to water or salt water, or allow

y Immediately discontinue use of the battery if the battery
emits an unusual smell, feels hot, changes color, changes
shape or appears abnormal in any way.
y Keep out of the reach of children.
STROBE WARNING
Exposure to strobing lights may cause dizziness,
disorientation, and nausea. A very small percentage of people
suffer from photosensitive epilepsy and may experience
seizures or blackouts triggered by strobing lights. For more

com. Anyone who has had symptoms linked to this condition
should consult a doctor before using this product.

INITIAL USE
Fully charge the USB-578XL before the fi rst use, or if the
battery is new or has been unused for several months. The
maximum charge time required is approximately 6 hours.
CHARGING THE LIGHT
The Micro USB Charging Port is inside of the rotating
sleeve located below the head of the light.
Open Rotating Sleeve
y Expose the Micro USB Charging Port by twisting the
sleeve and rotating it to the left.
y Continue rotating the sleeve and slide it downward on
the handle.
Plug into USB port to charge
The light ships with a Micro USB to USB Charging Cable.
It can be charged using any of the following methods:
y USB Port on a computer (NOTE: Charging times vary
depending on the computer)
y USB port in vehicles
y USB Vehicle charger for cigarette lighter port (not
included)
y USB Compliant AC to DC USB wall charger similar to
ones used with most Cell Phones (not included)
The typical charge time is approximately 3 hours. Actual
time may vary depending on the remaining charge in the
battery and method of charging. Ambient temperature can
also effect charging time.
The charge indicator light located directly above the
charging port will turn red while the charging and green when
fully charged.
Close Rotating Sleeve
y Cover the Micro USB Charging Port by twisting the
sleeve and rotating it to the right.
y Continue rotating the sleeve and slide it upward on the
handle.
WARNING: When the Rotating Sleeve is open, the light is
no longer IP-X7 Waterproof
OPERATION
The USB-578XL has seven light modes: momentary
fl ashlight, full brightness fl ashlight, medium brightness
fl ashlight, low brightness fl ashlight, fl oodlight, dual-light and
strobe. The light has a unique tail-switch that operates both
the fl ashlight and fl oodlight in one confi guration.
Momentary Flashlight Mode
Lightly press the upper raised portion of the tail switch
(without clicking the fl ashlight on) for momentary operation.
Release the switch to turn off.
Constant-on
Fully press the upper raised portion of the tail switch until
it clicks and then release for constant-on in high-brightness
mode. Press and release the switch to turn off.
Select Brightness Level
Press and hold down the upper raised portion of the tail
switch. The light will cycle from high to medium to low and
back at a rate of approximately one mode per second. The
light will continue to cycle through the various modes as long
as the switch is held down. When the desired brightness level
is reached, release the switch, and the light will remain in that
brightness mode. Press and release the switch to turn off.

Floodlight
Press the bottom recessed portion of the tail switch until
it clicks and then release for fl oodlight mode. Press and
release the switch to turn off.
Dual-Light
Dual-Light allows the user to turn on both the Flashlight
(at any brightness level) and the Floodlight, at the same time.
First select the appropriate brightness level of the fl ashlight
using the directions above. Next press and release the
bottom switch to activate the fl oodlight. Both the Flashlight
and the Floodlight are now running. Press and release both
the upper and lower switches to turn off.
Strobe Function
From off or any mode, rapidly double click the raised part
of the tail switch to activate the strobe function running at full
brightness. Press and release either switch to turn off.
CR-123 BATTERY CARRIER
The CR123 battery carrier converts the USB-578XL
from rechargeable Lithium-ion to non-rechargeable Lithium
battery operation.
Load two CR-123 Lithium batteries with the positive
terminals pointing in the direction of the arrow. NOTE: The
fl ashlight cannot be charged with the CR-123 CARRIER
installed.
LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY
Bayco Products, Inc. warrants this product to be free
from defects in workmanship and materials for the original
purchaser's lifetime. The Limited Lifetime Warranty includes
the LEDs, housing and lenses. Rechargeable batteries,
chargers, switches, electronics and included accessories are
warranted for a period of two years with proof of purchase.
Normal wear and failures which are caused by accidents,
misuse, abuse, faulty installation and lightning damage are
excluded.
We will repair or replace this product should we determine
it to be defective. This is the only warranty, expressed or
implied, including any warranty of merchantability or fi tness
for a particular purpose.

AVERTISSEMENT STROBOSCOPIQUE
L'exposition à des lumières stroboscopiques peut
causer des étourdissements, une désorientation et des
nausées. Un très faible pourcentage de personnes

UTILISATION INITIALE
Chargez la USB-556XL à bloc avant la première
utilisation ou si la batterie est neuve ou n'a pas été utilisée
depuis plusieurs mois. La durée maximale de charge requise
est d'environ 4 heures.
CHARGEMENT DE LA LAMPE
Le port micro-USB pour le chargement se trouve à
l'intérieur de l'anneau rotatif situé sous la tête de la lampe.
Ouvrir l'anneau rotatif
y Exposer le port USB pour le chargement en appuyant sur
l'anneau et en le tournant vers la gauche.

du manche de la lampe.
Brancher le câble dans le port USB pour charger la lampe
La lampe est équipée d'un port USB et d'un câble
