The following, among other things, cannot be burned: coal, trimmings, bark waste and panels, wet wood or
wood treated with paints, plastic; in this case the warranty becomes void.
Paper and cardboard must only be used for lighting the fire. The burning of waste is prohibited and would also
damage the thermoheating stove and the flue, also damaging health and in virtue of the olfactory disturbance and
claims by neighbours.
The wood does not have long combustion duration and therefore continuous heating is not possible by the
thermoheating stove during the night.

* RESINOUS WOODS NOT REALLY SUITABLE FOR THE THERMOHEATING STOVE
ATTENTION: The continuous and prolonged use of wood that is particularly rich in aromatic oils (e.g.
Eucalyptus, Myrtle, etc.) causes the sudden deterioration (decay) of the cast iron components present in
the product.

9. IGNITION

ATTENTION: For no reason must the fire be ignited before the system has been completely filled with water;
doing this would lead to serious damage of the entire structure.
IMPORTANT: on first ignition it is inevitable that an unpleasant odour is produced (due to the drying of the glues in
the sealing cord or the protective paints), which disappears after brief use. Good ventilation of the room,
however, must be assured. On first ignition we advise that a reduced amount of fuel is loaded and the heat
yield of the appliance is increased slowly.
To carry out a correct first ignition of the products treated with paints for high-temperatures, the following must be
known:
the materials used for construction of the products in question are not homogeneous; in fact parts in cast iron and
steel co-exist.
The temperature to which the body of the product is exposed is not homogeneous: temperatures are registered
from area to area that vary from 300 ° C to 500 ° C;
during its lifespan, the product undergoes alternate switch-on switch-off cycles during the same day and cycles of
intense use or absolute rest, depending on the season;
the new thermoheating stove, before being considered run-in, must undergo several start-up cycles in order to
allow all materials and the paint to complete the various elastic stresses;
in particular, initially it is possible to note the emission of odours typical of metals undergoing great heat stress
and of fresh paint. This paint, even if fired at 250 ° C for a few hours during construction, must exce ed the
temperature of 350 ° C several times and for a certa in duration, before incorporating itself perfectly with the metal
surfaces.
It therefore becomes important to follow these small arrangements during the ignition phase:
1.
Ensure that the room where the appliance is installed is well aired.
2.
In the first ignitions, do not load the combustion chamber excessively (about half of the amount indicated in the
instruction manual) and keep the product lit for at least 6-10 hours continuously, with the regulators less open
than that indicated in the instruction manual.
3.
Repeat this operation for at least 4-5 or more times, according to your availability.
4.
Successively, load always more (following that described in the instruction book relative to the maximum load)
and keep ignition period long avoiding brief switch-on/off cycles at least in this initial phase.
5.
During the first switch-ons no objects must be placed on the thermoheating stove and particularly on the
enamelled surfaces. The enamelled surfaces must not be touched during heating.
6.
Once «running-in» has been passed your product can be used like a car engine, avoiding sudden heating with
excessive loads.
