Noise/vibration information

Measured values determined according to
EN 50 144.
Sound pressure level: 100 dB (A)
Sound power level: 87 dB (A)
Workplace related emission value: 90 dB (A).
For operation, noise protection measures are
required.
The typical hand-arm vibration is below 2.5 m/s
Mounting the Auxiliary Handle and
5
the Mains Cable Module
Before any work on the machine itself, pull the
mains plug!
Operate the machine only with the auxiliary handle 7.
Connect the mains cable module to the handle. The
plug must latch.
Use the mains cable module provided only for
Kress Electro-Tools. Do not attempt to operate
other machines with the module.
Use only an original Kress mains cable module that is
at least of heavy rubber sheathed cable (Code desig-
nation H07 RN-F).

Checking the adjustment of the riving knife
1 500 Watt
The riving knife 15 must always be used for safety
reasons. The riving knife prevents the saw blade from
900 Watt
becoming jammed when making lengthwise cuts.
Introduce the gap rudder 15 into the pick-up attach-
ment of the protective hood and hold it there. Secure
4 700 RPM
the gap rudder 15 using the socket head bolt 17 and
3 640 RPM
any suitable underlay washer. At first only tighten the
190 mm
socket head bolt 17 lightly.

The adjustment takes place at maximum cutting
depth.

Loosen screw 17, adjust the riving knife 15 and re-
tighten the screw (see figure).

Cutting Depth Adjustment
The depth of the cut can be set up to 65 mm at
scale 19. When you loosen the two wing nuts 6, the
entire base can be moved up or down in the parallel
guides to set the desired cutting depth. Retighten wing
nuts 6 after you make the setting. In order to prevent
accidents and get a clean cut, make sure that the
blade does not project farther than the height of a
blade tooth out of the opposite side of the work.
Reducing cutting depth
2
.
After loosening the two wing nuts 6, one half turn is
enough, hold saw housing with both hands and push
guide arm of parallel guide with both thumbs to the
rear until the line mark is at the desired adjusting point
on scale.
Tighten wing nut 6. Check mark on second guide arm
and also tighten second wing nut.
Increasing cutting depth
After loosening wing nuts 6 hold machine with one
hand at front on handle or on housing and with the
other hand on saw table 13 and push both compo-
nents against each other until the line mark indicates
that the desired adjustment on the scale has been
attained. Tighten wing nuts 6.
