SAFETY NOTES

1.
ENGLISH
DYNAFIT only guarantees perfect boot-binding function when used with DYNAFIT CERTIFIED INSERTS (see figure 3), carried
by the following boot manufacturers
For inserts from other manufacturers, DYNAFIT cannot guarantee correct functioning and quality. Find a list of our current
insert partners at: http://www.dynafit.com/service.
1. Please be sure to take note that no release is desired at the toe piece in the
locked position, and thus there is also no possibility of such (see figure 1).
2. Therefore careful attention is essential for a descent that the locking lever at
the toe piece should not be in the climbing position, since otherwise there is no
possibility of a side release and there is a risk of injury. Please read the sticker
on the ski! The sticker must not be removed from the ski (see figure 2).
3. Because adjustments depend not only on the type of binding and boot but
also on the type of skier, they should be exclusively carried out by an authorized
dealer. Binding settings must be controlled by a suitable test device.
Installation and setting by an unauthorized person will always be at the risk
of the skier, will invalidate the warranty and may result in increased risk of
injury to the skier.
4. In order to maintain the safety functions, please avoid unauthorized adaptation
of your ski binding, and have adjustments or adaptions completed by a
specialist dealer. Incorrect setting, adaptation or maintenance may increase
the risk of injury.
5. Prior to every use, check the function of your ski binding and inspect it for
defective or missing parts. If required, have your equipment repaired by a
specialist dealer. You risk exposing yourself to injury if you continue using an
impaired skiing binding.
6. As a skier you must be aware of the risks of this type of sport. For this reason,
adapt your skiing style and the choice of downhill skiing to your skills and
capabilities.
7. Select your tours carefully. Do not overestimate your capabilities.
8. Observe the warnings and instructions in the skiing area. Strictly adhere to
weather and avalanche warnings.
9. Do not ski if you are not physically fit, if you feel tired or if you are under the
influence of alcohol, drugs or medication.
10. On a ski tour, there is the chance for challenging environmental conditions such
as frozen snow, snow on your sole, or dirt in the binding. These conditions could
require specialized inspection and maintenance by a specialty dealer.
2.
11. When transporting skis on your roof, the bindings can be exposed to elements
such as salt and dirt. These can compromise the ski binding's function. We
therefore recommend transporting your gear in a ski bag.
12. Store your skis with bindings locked in a frost-free, dry location. Avoid exposure
to very hot conditions, (e.g. by storage in an attic or loft), as well as storage
next to acid-absorbing items (e.g. chimneys, automobile batteries), or storage
in a garage.
13. For cleaning ski bindings, do not use acidic compounds or plastic cleaners. In
doing so, your gear could be permanently damaged. Instead, use a cloth and
lukewarm water with a mild sudsy soap for cleaning.
14. Ski boot inserts that are excessively worn can impair the release of your ski
binding. For this reason, have your equipment checked regularly or additionally,
when required, by a specialist dealer.
15. The release level of your ski binding may change as a result of dirt, extended
or incorrect storage or non-use. The release value setting must therefore be
checked by a specialist dealer especially at the start of the skiing season
using a suitable test device.
16. Only use the ski binding either with a DYNAFIT ski brake or a DYNAFIT leash.
Failure to observe this can result in the ski sliding down without braking after
release, potentially endangering others.
17. Always use the binding together with a deep snow leash when skiing in deep
snow so that the released ski can be relocated.
18. If you have purchased a DYNAFIT binding on the Internet, a specialist dealer
must check and adapt the ski binding to your personal data. DYNAFIT will not
be liable if any settings have been made by an unauthorised person.
19. Please keep these directions for use and care in a safe place.
20. Damages resulting from failure to follow these instructions for use and care are
not covered by the warranty.
