- Page 11 Companion extender allows for a second workstation to be located near the server for convenient system maintenance. Audio capabilities are standard on the LongView and LongView Companion KVM extenders, ® while Avocent AutoTuning technology provides automatic compensation for different cable lengths, video resolutions and serial COM port data rates. Access sharing The LongView Companion extender allows two users to share the use of a single server.

There are eight switches that can be set to On or Off.
- Page 21 All manuals and user guides at all-guides.com Chapter 2: Installation DIP switch settings • Mouse movement: Switch 1 controls whether the mouse will activate a user during sharing mode. When this switch is On, the user must use the keyboard to activate the server. When this switch is Off, a user may take control of the server by moving the mouse.

The privacy switch enables two users to share the server or allows you to lock out either the remote or local user.
