Add to a dictation (inserting)
Dictations are recorded in overwrite mode by default. Follow these steps to switch to insert
mode to make additions to your dictation:
The 4-position slide switch (12) must be in the

In insert mode, the record position of the 4-position slide switch reads
LED (10) is green.
In overwrite mode, the record position of the 4-position slide switch reads
status LED (10) is red.
Fast forward or fast rewind to the position where the insertion should be made.

not overwrite dictation.

If the dictation is not finished, simply fast forward to the end of the file and continue

recording.
D Note: An index mark can be set by pressing the
record. It is possible to quickly access the spoken instructions and index marks by using the
smart buttons during fast wind / fast rewind.

Finish a dictation
When a dictation is finished and no additional changes will be made, follow these steps to mark
the dictation finished:

Press the end-of-letter (EOL) button to mark the dictation as finished. The

D Note: Once the dictation is marked as finished, it can no longer be modified or deleted. To
make changes to the dictation, press the EOL button again to remove the finished mark.
