SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Hu-Friedy & EMS and the dealer of this product accept no liability for direct or consequential injury or damage resulting from improper use, arising in particular
through non-observance of the operation instructions, or improper preparation and maintenance.
Use for the intended purpose only. Before using the product, make sure that the manual has been read. This also applies to any equipment used with this
product. Failure to observe the operation instructions may result in the patient or user suffering serious injury or the product being damaged, possibly beyond
repair.
Risk of explosion: Do not use this product in the presence of infl ammable anaesthetics or gases.
This product must be used only by trained and qualifi ed personnel (dentist or dental hygienist).
Before each use, clean and sterilize the different pieces and accessories of this product (nozzles excepted). Please refer to the information provided in
the operation instructions. Non-sterile pieces and accessories may cause bacterial or viral infections.
In order to avoid the use of any inappropriate powders, it is highly recommended to always empty the powder chamber after use.
The powder containing sodium bicarbonate provided by Hu-Friedy & EMS can be used only for supra-gingival application. For sub-gingival application,
please use the specifi c powders provided by Hu-Friedy & EMS and refer to their operation instructions.
Do not direct the jet of powder toward fi llings, or crown and bridgework as this could damage the restorations.
Never use "Hu-Friedy & EMS Abrasive Powder" for the treatments carried out with this product.
Do not use the AIR-FLOW method on severely infl amed tissues.
The powders provided by Hu-Friedy & EMS are especially designed for use with the unit. Do not use powders from other manufacturers as this could
damage the unit or could adversely affect its effi ciency.
Never use "Hu-Friedy & EMS Abrasive Powder" in the unit as this would damage it.
Always examine the product for damage before starting the treatment. Damaged accessories or a damaged device must not be used and must be
replaced. Use original Hu-Friedy & EMS spare parts and accessories only.
Have this product exclusively repaired by an approved Hu-Friedy & EMS repair center.
Never use an abrasive powder i.e. silica or alumina based. This would damage the unit.
The powders provided by Hu-Friedy & EMS are especially designed for use with the unit. Do not use powders from other manufacturers as this could
damage the unit or could adversely affect its effi ciency.
