    The AIR-FLOW handy 3.0 PERIO is intended for patients suffering from periodontal disease. • The AIR-FLOW handy 3.0 PERIO is indicated for the non-surgical removal of subgingival plaque in pockets up to 5 mm after initial periodontal treatment. Contra-indications Patients suffering from chronic bronchitis or asthma must not, under any circumstances, be treated with an air polishing device. The jet of air and powder could cause respiratory difficulties.

    The AIR-FLOW handy 3.0 PLUS Dental Handpiece is a dental handpiece intended for use in the cleaning and polishing of teeth by the projection of a mixture of water, air, and Hu-Friedy & EMS prophylaxis powder onto the tooth surface. The device removes soft deposits and areas of discoloration and can be used to prepare teeth for dental procedures such as the placement of composite fillings, porcelain inlays, and laminate veneers.

    PREPARING FOR TREATMENT (ONLY FOR PERIO HANDPIECE ) PERIO-FLOW Nozzle installation Do not use the PERIO-FLOW Nozzle in case of doubt that package seal was broken, or that package or the nozzle is damaged. The single use PERIO-FLOW Nozzle must be used for one single patient only. Never reuse a PERIO-FLOW Nozzle because treatment will be ineffective and the risk of emphysema will increase.

    Make sure that the powder chamber and the cap of the powder chamber are absolutely dry. Moisture can cause the powder to cake. Use only powder provided by Hu-Friedy & EMS. Stop the filling when the level of powder reaches the edge of the Easy Fill. Do not fill over this limit.
