Dräger Polytron 3500/7500, Installation Notes
Every Dräger Polytron 3500 or Dräger Polytron 7500 operation requires that
the Instructions for Use for Dräger Polytron 3500 or for Dräger Polytron 7500
are understood and observed!
Installing the Dräger Polytron 3500/7500
Check the polarity and cable routing and check that the connecting termi-
nal blocks are securely seated, rectify as necessary (see the installation no-
tes for the Pyrolyzer Docking Station, 90 23 925).
Unpack the Dräger Polytron 3500/7500.
Remove the cover of the Polytron 3500/7500. To do this,
1 gently pull apart the cover on both sides and
2 lift upwards.
Fit the Polytron 3500/7500 using the metal hooks into the slots provided on the
docking station.
The electrical connection via the edge connector must be clean, i.e. the safety
hooks (3) underneath must snap into the docking station.
Slide cover back over the installed station until it snaps into place at the sides.
No cables or internal hoses must be pinched.
Connect the hoses – insert the hose into the quick release fitting below the
station as far as it will go (increased resistance).
4 Gas input from the inlet point right connection.
A suitable external dust filter must be used.
5 Gas output to the offtake left connection.
Check the hoses to make sure they are inserted properly
After the voltage has been switched on, the unit starts running.
6 The ball in the flow tube should be at half way.
Calibrate the station and check that there are no leaks in the hose system.
Disassembling the Dräger Polytron 3500/7500
Loosen the hoses:
to loosen the hose connection, press the safety ring on the quick release faste-
ner upwards and hold it. The hose is now been released and can be removed.
Loosen the safety hooks below the station, tilt the Polytron 3500/7500 slightly-
until the electrical connection is detached, then move upwards and remove from
the front.
Danger of burning! When the station is opened, parts of the station may still be
hot (e.g. the oven). Wait for approx. 15 minutes.
Observe during operation
Do not allow any fluids to penetrate into the ventilation holes.
Do not seal off the ventilation openings.
