6 Maintenance and precautions of use
- The microscopes must be placed far from water projections and preferably in
a room with atmosphere moisture content lower than 70 %.
- Do not store the microscopes in a cupboard where reagents that can
emanate aggressive vapours are stored.
- To avoid dust to deposit, it is recommended to leave the eyepieces in their
tubes and to cover the device with its plastic dust cover after each use.
- Dust that may be left on the optical parts must be blown or removed by
means of a dust collector (Ref. 574 198).
- Avoid touching the surface of the lenses with your fingers.
- In order to clean finger marks, use a soft lint-free cloth or a cleaning paper
(Ref. 803 092).
- After observation with immersion objectives, the oil that is stuck to the front
lens of the objective should be gently wiped off with a soft cloth. Never use
alcohol, but use a specific cleanser for optics (Ref. 102 146).

- The power supply plug is used as a disconnecting switch to cut the energy
supply of the device.
Comment: if the device is used differently than specified below (section «
utilisation and adjustments»), the protection provided by the device may be
compromised.
