8. Use of camera
8.1 USB Eyepiece camera 2MP / 5MP
These models are driven by IMAGE STAR (either for Windows and for IOS).
• The software can be downloaded from this link: http://www.optikamicroscopes.com/OPTIStar/IMAGE_STAR.zip
• NOTE: no driver installation is required for the cameras. The software setup procedure automatically installs
all the needed drivers for the correct operation of the camera.
1. Run IMAGE STAR by clicking the icon
2. Click on the camera name in the section Camera List on the upper left corner of the screen.
3. Live image starts automatically.
8.1.1 Operating Instructions
Basic operation on Live image
1. The first time the software is started after installation, an image capture device will be found for image preview.
2. Select the desired device.
When more than one imaging device appears on computer, this software allows you to select the desired imaging de-
vice. Select Menu --> View --> Camera Control Panel. Pop up the left sidebar to select the target imaging device in the
device name list.
