F. Element Closing:
A properly closed element is circular. It allows the pages to turn without
restricting the paper, while not allowing sheets to fall out of the binding.
Above is a diagram of a correctly closed element. The element is
considered under-closed if it is possible to pull a sheet out of the twin
loop binding by pulling on the end of the sheet. The element is
considered over-closed if the element is oval shaped. If the element is
under-closed increase the closer value in the LCD tree, decrease this
value instead if the element is over-closed. After changing the setting
run a new book and inspect its element.

A. Supply Order Information
Twin loop wire supply for the StreamWire machine comes in 5 different
sizes and 3 different colors. In order to switch between size and colors
of twin loop wire, follow the instructions in Section 4. To re-order or
order new wire supply, refer to the table below.

Max books per spool is the greatest number of books a spool can
produce if none is wasted during operation or set up.
If the maximum document thickness is exceeded for a job, the
StreamWire will display a J397. The table below contains the thickness
values the printer gives to each media weight. Select the appropriate
element size for the book thickness calculated using the table below.

For example: A book of 2 x 270 gsm covers with 12 body sheets of 118
gsm would have a total thickness number of (2 x 0.38) + (12 x 0.20) =
3.16, therefore a size B element should be used otherwise a J397 jam
will occur with a smaller element size.
