Step 5: Pushing the 12" PVC Conduit Through
the Wall
1. Push the PVC conduit firmly and steadily through the hole
made in the inside wall and the insulation until it hits the
exterior wall.
2. Then, if necessary, probe with the conduit until you find the
1 ¼" hole on the exterior wall and push it all the way through.
3. The PVC conduit should be extending a few inches from
each side of the wall.
Step 6: Marking the Conduit to Length and
Setting the Interior Wall Anchors
HINT: We recommend taping the ends of the wires from the
power panel together at this point.
1. Straighten out the wires attached to the indoor power panel.
2. Fish the wires through the PVC conduit.
3. Push the end of the conduit tightly into the cradle in the
back of the inside power panel.
4. Fish the PVC conduit with the wires inside back through the wall
5. With someone holding the inside power panel tightly against
the inside wall with its rear cradle inside the 1 ¼" hole, go
outside and mark the conduit with a pencil 1/8" from the
surface of the outside wall.
SETTING THE INSIDE WALL ANCHORS
1. Back on the inside of the house, with the conduit and wires
sticking out of the outside wall, level the inside power panel
against the inside wall with its rear cradle inside the 1 ¼" hole.
2. Holding the inside power panel level, insert the four white-
head 2 ¼" mounting screws into each of the four mounting
holes in the inside power panel.
3. With a flat tip screwdriver, screw each of the mounting
screws against the interior wall with sufficient pressure to
leave a mark on the wall.
4. Then pull the inside power panel and PVC conduit from
the wall.
5. Drill a 1/4" hole at each mark.
6. Insert one white wall anchor into each hole and tap in.
Step 7: Cutting the PVC Conduit to the
Proper Length
1. From the inside of the house, pull the inside power panel
and the attached conduit and wires out of the wall
2. Disconnect the PVC Conduit from the back of the Inside
Power Panel and separate
3. Use a hacksaw or PVC cutter to cut the PVC conduit at the
pencil mark you made on the conduit.
