5. Operation

Important information
The Design infrared radiator has a safety switch which switches off when the heating ele-
ment overheats (e.g. caused by covering). By disconnecting the mains plug from the mains
and after a waiting period of approx. 10 – 15 minutes, the interior thermoswitch automatic-
ally resets. After localising and eliminating the cause of the overheating, the Design infrared
radiator can be operated again.
Start-up

▪ Connect the mains plug to the socket
On the back of the mounted receiver, press once briefly
▪
on the button until the control light lights up constantly.
▪ Hang the Design infrared radiator in the pre-installed wall bracket.
▪ The Design infrared radiator is heated up, reaches a temperature of approx 105°C and
emits heat radiation.
▪ Please disconnect the mains plug if no longer needed.
▪ Even when the power supply is disconnected by pulling out the mains plug or a
possible power failure, the receiver is set and is operable as soon as the power supply
is available again.
2. With radio thermostat (available with special order)
▪ Connect the mains plug to the socket
On the back of the mounted receiver, press on the button until the control light

blinks.
▪ Hang the Design infrared radiator in the pre-installed wall bracket.
▪ Assign your additionally purchased transmitter to the receiver.

▪ The Design infrared radiator is heated up, reaches a temperature of approx 105°C and
emits heat radiation.
▪ The radiation warmth set by you to the desired temperature is now controlled
thermostatically via radio/wireless.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

The Design infrared radiator is maintenance-free. All cleaning work may only be done when
the device is switched off. To clean the front, use a soft cloth. The surfaces can be simply
washed off with warm water and a well-rung out chamois cloth. With larger areas of dirt,
you can use a commercial glass cleaner.
It is important to note that no water should permanently remain or act on or near the edges
of the radiator. The use of aggressive or solvent-based cleaning agents is expressly
discouraged.

7. Disposal

Please dispose of the packaging properly.
The Design infrared radiator must not be disposed of in the household
rubbish and must be returned to the manufacturer.
