5. Reinstall the pin and roller with the rope in the center of the snap hook body as shown below in Figure 28.

6. Using a 7/16" wrench, remove the lock nut and washer. Push the thumb release lever through and remove it from the bottom of the
adjuster. See Figure 29 above.
7. Insert the thumb release lever through the top of the adjuster and reinstall the washer and locknut using thread locking fluid as shown
in Figure 30 below.

8. Connect the snap hook back into the Adjuster Eye. See Figure 31 above.
9. Feed the eye of the rope through the Fixed Bent D-ring and reconnect the Body Belt Carabiner to the end of the rope. See Figure 32.
Final assembly should be a mirror image of the original right-handed configuration. See Figure 33 below for final left-handed layout.

Pole Top Rescue: To perform traditional pole top rescue on an impacted and loaded device, either the Web Strap or the Rope can be cut
to release the victim.
5.6.1
Pole Top Rescue - Web Strap: There are two acceptable locations to cut: (1) Between the Web Strap Cleat and the Bent D-ring or (2)
directly behind the Adjuster.
5.6.2
Pole Top Rescue - Rope: Cut anywhere between the Rope Adjuster and the Body Belt Carabiner. Note: When cutting the rope, the web
strap component will separate from the rope and fall to the ground.
