TEST AND ADJUSTMENT
Mount the fuse (0.25 A) in the fuse holder and cover it with the special cap.
Connect the tuner to the network.
VERY IMPORTANT: When the tuner is connected to the mains, all components
on the base board receive live voltage, even when the start/stop switch is on
the "stop" position! NEVER FORGET TO CUT THE MAINS when you replace
components.
ADJUSTING THE INTERMIDIATE FREQUENCY
- Push the start/stop switch; normally the display should light up and indicate a
frequency.
- Attach an antenna or cable to one of the antenna inputs.
- Select the desired antenna (Y or C) using the antenna selector. You will hear
the switching of the relay.
- Turn the RV1 "STOP SENSITIVIY" potentiometer as far as it will go,
clockwise (seen from the rear).
- Push "auto" until the MONO indication lights up.
- Select a known frequency from a powerful transmitter around 97 MHz, and
regulate using the "SEEK" pushbuttons. The LD14 diode should normally
extinguish.
- Attach a measuring device (preferably a digital device intended for
continuous voltage) between points TP1 and TP2.
- Screw the LC2 coil entirely in, using a screwdriver (preferably with a plastic
handle).
- Turn LC1 until the meter indicates 0 V (take the smallest measurement range
possible); the LD 15 diode should normally light up.
- Now cut the JSTP jumper.
- Turn the LC2 until the LD15 diode is extinguished; continue turning until the
LD15 diode lights up again and the voltometer indicates 0 V.
- Remove the measurement device. If you must adjust the intermidiate
frequency regulation again for any reason, you must make the
interconnection at the jumper.
ADJUSTING THE STEREO PILOT-TONE
-Select a known stereo transmitter.
-Turn the RV2 "PILOT TONE ADJUST" regulation potentiometer as far as it will
go, COUNTER CLOCKWISE.
-Push "auto" until the MONO indication is extinguished.
-Turn the RV2 carefully until the stereo indicator just lights up.
Mark the position of the trimming potentiometer with a pencil.
-Push "AUTO" until the MONO indication lights up.
