ASSEMBLY INSIDE THE HOUSING
-Attach the small rubber support to the four corners of the panel at the bottom
using the BLACK M3 screws.
-Attach a 10mm screwplate by means of the small BLACK M3 screws, to all the
circled holes.
NOTE: First scratch the varnish off a hole on the inside of the housing, to
ensure proper contact of the screwplate with the metal housing (cf. 2.0)
-Attach the sticker with the text on it to the back panel.
NOTE: First check to see to see there is no dirt or other obstacle on the back
metal panel.
Place the housing vertically and place the sticker on the back panel. See that
the texts are positioned in the middle under the perforations.
Position the sticker correctly on the back panel.
Then remove the protection foil from the left side (tear off by splitting in the
middle) and glue the sticker to the rear panel, starting in the middle. Then
remove the protection foil from the right side, and repeat the same operation on
the right side.
-Attach the mains connector by means of the small flush M3 screws.
-Attach the two antenna connectors to the inside, with the aid of the small black
M3 screws and bolts.
NOTE: Make sure that the ground connection is pointed left (looking at the
housing from the front).
-Attach the 2 x 15V transformer to the left of the bottom plate. This transformer
is positioned horizontally with the connections pointing upwards (cf. 2.1).
Attach it diagonally to the inside, with two 35 mm M3 screws with the bolts on
the inside.
IMPORTANT: cut the vertical connections on the transformer flush with the
housing.
-Solder the J1 and J2 flat cables to the base plate. See that the assembly is
absolutely perfect in all details.
-Mount the P4500B base board at the rear, inside the housing, so that the cinch
connectors and the small spindle on the potentiometer pass through the rear
panel. Attach the board using five 4 mm M3 screws.
-Solder the two J6 and J7 antenna connectors to the adjoining rear print pins.
-Solder the end of the J1 flat cable to the display plate. Be sure that the
corresponding points ST, I1, I2, etc. are connected to each other properly:
normally, one will be on top of the other, all pointing in the same direction (cf.
also fig. 3.0)
-Solder the end of the J2 flat cable to the display board. Here as well, be sure
that the connections DG, V1, SCL, etc. of the base board correspond to the
connection no. 1 of the base board. Allow the display board to hang free
temporarily.
