GLUING THE KEYBOARD TO THE FRONT PANEL
NOTE: The following operation must be carried out with extreme care. It is best
to ask someone to help you.
First, check that there is no dirt or other obstacle on the front metal panel.
Place the houusing vertically, and put the sticker keyboard on the front panel.
Be sure that the connection passes through the oblong hole.
Position the keyboard on the front panel very carefully, and then glue the right
half temporarily with sticky tape.
Then withdraw the protection foil on the left side (pull off by splitting it in the
middle), then glue the keyboard to the front panel, beginning in the middle.
Then remove the protection foil on the right side (be careful of the connection
pin), and repeat the same operation for this side.
MAKING THE CONNECTIONS (cf. fig. 4.0)
-Connect the MAINS N and L connection on the base board to the
corresponding points on the mains connector.
-Connect the mains terminals of the transformer (terminals marked 0 and 220
and 125, according to the type of mains voltage) at the TRANSFO points on
the base board.
-Connect the 0 terminal on the 2 x 15 V transformer to the GND terminal on the
base board; then connect the terminals 15 from the transformer to the VA and
VB terminals on the base board.
MOUNTING THE DISPLAY BOARD ON THE FRONT PANEL
-Screw a M3 bolt into each board pin, being sure that each bolt is positioned
approximately in the middle of "its" board pin.
-Bend the two flat cables towards the back of the display board.
-Mount the display board on the threaded spindle, so that the LEDs are right
against the front film. Then regulate the M3 spindles already mounted, so that
they act everywhere as supports for the board. Then attach the board using
three M3 bolts. Be careful of the position of the infrared reception diode.
-Carefully put the printed cable from the keyboard into the connector on the
display board.
NOTE: As soon as the printed cable is introduced into the connector, it must be
fixed while squeezing the connector. You may have to detach the fixation first.
