Indication:
The scanbody is used to record the position of the implant in the
mouth, or on the model during the scanning process. Selection
must be carried out according to the compatibility of the implant
system and the platform diameter. Both the position of the im-
plant and the rotation are depicted due to the asymmetric form of
the scanbody. It is important to select the correct implant library
for referencing the position.
Contraindication:
It is imperative to ensure that only components are only com-
bined with compatible implant systems. This also applies to the
corresponding platform diameter.
DD scanbody may not be used in the following situations:
• Intolerance with regard to the components contained
• If the implant position displays angulation of more than 18°
• The DD scanbody may only be used by expert personnel in
combination with the current applicable instructions for use.
• The DD scanbody may only be use in combination with the
DD implant library.
• If the implant interface is damaged, the scanbody may not
be used.
Material:
The DD Scanbody and DD Implant Screw are made of Ti6AI4V
(medical grade 5) ASTM 136 ELI. The scanbody super-structure
is made of PEEK (Polyetheretherketone). The black lab screw is
made of stainless steel (1.4305) and the blue lab screw is made
of titanium (Ti6AI4V).
Instructions for use:
The scanbody is supplied for use on the model with a laboratory
screw and with a silver-coloured implant screw for use in the
patient's mouth. The surface must be clean and free of grease
before scanning.
Note: For use in the model, only use the laboratory screw (max.
torque 10 Ncm). The implant screw should be tightened with the
system-specific torque (see table).

Cleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing:
The scanbody and implant screws are delivered to the dental
laboratory or dental practice in a generally clean, but not sterile,
condition, in appropriate secure packaging. After processing
and before use with patients, the components must be cleaned,
disinfected and sterilised using the usual process.
