Ensure the carrier's shoulder harness is properly secured through the Infant Sling and
that the harness is snug over your baby's shoulders. Ensure that the crotch strap is
between their legs. Ensure that the shoulder harness and crotch strap are properly
adjusted for the size of your child. The buckle for the crotch strap should sit level with
the child's lower chest region. Failure to properly attach seatbelts could result in serious
injury or death to occupant(s) in the event of an accident. Please refer to the owner's
manual for proper seatbelt use.
F. Crotch Strap
Depending upon the year and model of your carrier, the crotch strap will vary in the way it
attaches to the shoulder harness. Please refer to the owner's manual for instructions on how
the crotch strap and shoulder harness connect. If you do not have the owner's manual for
your carrier, you can download a copy from our website
"Customer Service" and "Owner's Manuals".
For all carriers except the CX, thread the crotch strap through the slot in the Infant Sling and
up through the elastic strap on the crotch pad. See Figures 8a, 8b.
