Room unit for basic controller configuration or end-
user control
ED-RU-DOCS is an external room unit primarily intended for control of
an air handling unit, heating unit or room controller.
Perform basic controller configuration, or let the person in the room
control the room's HVAC behaviour, via a connected ED-RU... room
unit. Choose from a large selection of room units that fit your specific
needs.

Wiring
Based on the used controller there are two different wiring options:
1. The room unit can be connected to the same supply voltage as the
controller (G and G0). Communication then takes place via EXOline
and is connected to the serial ports (RS485), A and B.

2. They can also be connected via an EDSP-K3 cable to the display port.

Settings
The On/Off button using Application tool
Regio Eedo/Ardo provides several options to manage controller state
changes, that is changes between a comfort and an energy-saving
operational mode. For example, state changes can be managed by:
– Pressing the occupancy button on the room unit to increase the
airflow.
– Detecting presence in the room via a CO
detector.

The On/Off button using E-tool
The function of the On/Off button can be configured using E tool.

When pressing the On/Off button for 10 s, the air handling unit will
stop. At the next scheduled start-up it will then start and run in mode
AUTO.
A press of the button will start the unit, making it run at normal speed
for the duration set under "extended running" (factory setting 60 min.).
Thereafter, the unit will enter into auto mode.
Increase/Decrease button
Enables adjusting the setpoint up or down. The maximum permissable
adjustment of the setpoint is configurable (factory setting ± 3°C).
Depending on the control mode, the setpoint buttons will adjust the
actual setpoint.
