INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1. SPOUT ROUGH-IN & SPOUT INSTALLATION
a) Install the spout rough-in box taking into account the minimum spout air gap* dimension shown
in Fig. 5.
b) The 90° elbow requires bracing, i.e. copper strapping.
c) The 90° elbow is adjustable for up to 1" (25 mm) thick backsplashes from finished wall.
d) The aerator has a swivel head that can be adjusted up to 7° for fine tuning of the water stream.
e) Connect water supply, flush system, then install aerator.
STEP 2. SENSOR ROUGH-IN AND CONTROLLER/SENSOR INSTALLATION
a) Install the 4x4 rough-in box flush to -1/4" (-6 mm) to the finished wall.
STEP 3. CONTROLLER & SENSOR PLATE INSTALLATION
a) Install the controller/converter assembly inside the 4x4x4 rough-in
box by removing the adhesive backings from the hook and loop pads
on the back of the controller and sticking them to the inside of the box.
Note: The rough-in should be installed flush to the finished wall to -1/4"
(-6 mm) recessed. Refer to Fig. 5. Note: False activations may be
triggered by highly reflective surfaces such as mirrors or stainless steel
partitions. Contact Technical Service for assistance/troubleshooting.
b) Take the solenoid wires from controller and route them out of the box
through the wire bushing and then to the solenoid. Refer to Figs. 6
and 8. Connect the red solenoid wire to "+" marked solenoid terminal
on valve, black wire to the other terminal. Solenoid extension wires
are available (060680A).
c) Install a CSA and/or UL approved "Class 2" transformer or equivalent
(purchased separately) in a convenient location (do not install inside
the rough-in box). With the power supply off, bring the 24 VAC supply
wires into the rough-in box through the wire bushing. Connect the
wires to the hardwire converter. Coil up any excess wire. Repeat for
second sensor plate assembly.
d) Once both controllers are properly wired, turn "ON" the power supply
for the transformer. Connect the sensor to the controller, then take the
excess wire and wrap neatly inside the box, ensuring the wires will not
be pinched when installing cover plates.
e) The controller is factory set to 8" (203 mm) sensor range and a 10
second duration. Refer to Fig. 8.
f) Install the sensor plate onto the rough-in box using the driver bit and
screw kits provided. To ensure proper sealing, the plates must be
installed flush to the finished wall. The finished wall surface should be
smooth, flat and free of obstructions. Refer to Fig. 7.
