Intended use

4 Intended use
The MagicTouch MT350 radio remote control (item no. MT-350) is an addition to the
central locking system of your vehicle. You open and close the doors of your vehicle
using a hand transmitter. Additional functions, such as e. g. the activation of the elec-
tric windows, the sun roof drive or the parking heater are possible by means of addi-
tional modules.

Technical description

5.1 Prerequisites for MagicTouch
Your vehicle should meet the following requirements to be able to open and close it
with MagicTouch:
12 V operating voltage
Central locking system
Some manufacturers equip their vehicles with an economic central locking version.
In these vehicles, there is no servo motor in the driver's door but instead an electrical
switch. A servo motor (e. g. WAECO item no. ML-11) needs to be added to these ve-
hicles.
To determine whether your vehicle has a servo motor, proceed as follows:

Lock your vehicle at the passenger side.

If the driver's door is locked, then a servo motor exists.

If the driver's door is not locked, then a servo motor needs to be fitted in the driv-
er's door.
5.2

Function description

MagicTouch MT350 provides you with the following functions:
Integration in an existing central locking system
The radio remote control opens or closes an existing central locking system. It
is operated with a three-button hand transmitter.
You can program new or additional hand transmitters for the radio remote
control.
Programmable output for convenience functions
You can use it to switch on the dimmed headlight for 10 seconds during the lock-
ing process ("coming home function") or you can use the hand transmitter e. g.
– to close the sun roof and the electric windows or
– switch on the parking heater or alarm system.
Some functions have been installed as options and have to be configured or
programmed during installation.
When MagicTouch is activated, it closes the central locking (if present), when it is de-
activated, MagicTouch opens it again. As an additional indication, MagicTouch
sends an optical signal via the vehicle's indicators.
