5. Usage

5.1 Boiling water

Turn the lid (8) counter-clockwise to the left to open it. Fill the kettle with cold
water and replace the lid.
Note: A scale is provided on the outside. Do not fill the container above the max-
imum mark. The boiling water may spurt out if the kettle is overfilled. Make sure
that the total quantity of water is only 1 l when brewing tea. The minimum quantity
of water is 500 ml. When boiling water normally, the maximum quantity of water
is 1.7 l. Then place the kettle on the base plate.
Next to the display on the base station, buttons are provided for selecting different
water temperatures and for selecting the desired tea brewing time. Press the "Up"
and "Down" buttons of the individual temperature setting (12) and the individual
time setting (13) to make the desired settings. You can find out more about making
tea in the chapter "Boiling tea".
Press the "ON/OFF" button to start the boiling function subsequently. As soon as
the water reaches the set temperature, the kettle switches off and you hear two
beeps.
Please remember that the boiling process may be interrupted briefly below
100°C by intermediate measurements. Please wait until the boiling process is fin-
ished. That is confirmed by the audible signal.

5.2 Boiling tea
Remove the tea sieve from the kettle and fill it with the desired amount of tea. An
example for filling can be found in the table below:
