Never touch the hot surfaces of the appliance.
• Always plug the appliance into an earthed socket.
• This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an
external timer or separate remote-control system.
• Make sure that the electric power supply is compatible with
EN
the power rating and voltage indicated on the bottom of the
appliance.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special
cable or unit available from the manufacturer or its after-sales
service.
• If it is necessary to use an extension lead ensure that it is of
suitable construction and power rating, with an earth
connection.
• Any intervention other than normal cleaning and maintenance
by the customer must be performed by an Approved Service
Centre.
• Do not attempt to move the appliance when filled with hot oil.
• This appliance is not a fryer. The fondue pot must never be used
for cooking chips, doughnuts, etc.
• To prevent damage to the pot, use it only in the manner in
which it was designed (e.g. do not place in oven, on gas burner
or hotplate, etc.).
• Never immerse the appliance or its power cord in water or any
other liquid.
• After use, the cooking surface will remain hot. Be sure to wait
until it has completely cooled before handling the entire
product (heating base + container).
