Safety

As noted, the machine requires professional
handling. This means that you must read this
operator's manual before coupling the machine to
the tractor. You must read the manual even if you
have had a similar machine before. Remember your
own safety and that of others are involved.
The sweeper is operated by one man. The operator
is responsible for ensuring that nobody, is within
the working area of the sweeper . You may NEVER
leave the machine in the care of another person
before assuring yourself that the person has the
requisite training to operate the machine safely.
The following is a short list of procedures with which
the operator must be familiar:
• Apply the tractor's parking brake and stop the
engine before you:
- Lubricate the machine
- Clean the machine
- Dismantle any part of the machine
- Adjust, repair or perform maintenance work
on the machine
- Always lower the machine to the ground
(with support feet)
• Never work underneath a raised unit unless it
is secured by any safe and suitable mechanical
means.
• Never start the tractor before all persons have
moved away to a safe distance from the machine
• Before starting the tractor, check that all tools
have been removed from the machine.
• Check that all guards are properly installed.
• Do not wear loose clothing when working.
Loose clothing may be pulled into the machine at a
moving part.
• Always use prescribed lighting and safety
markings for transport on public road and when
driving in the dark.
• Keep away from the machine when it is in
operation.
• Use ear guards if the noise from the machine is
an annoyance.
• Before raising or lowering the machine, check
that nobody is standing close to the machine, on it,
under it or touching it.

Safety
• Do not use the machine for any work other than
that for which it is constructed.
• Do not stand between the tractor and the
machine during coupling and decoupling.
• Use only original spare parts.
• Do not allow anybody on the machine when
driving.
• Disconnect all hydraulic hoses when performing
repairs or lubricating.

Avoid accidents

The sweeper may be used only by trained and
instructed driver, with valid driving licence.
The sweeper is a one-man-job; the driver of the
machine has to make sure that there are no other
persons in the machine's work area.
It is forbidden to work with the sweeper without
a protection shield. After repairs or general
maintenance all protection shields must be
mounted back on the machine.
Repairs or maintenance of the sweeper must only
be done after all hydraulics between machine and
tractor has been disconnected.
When sweeping in closed areas you must make
sure of proper ventilation.
Only original spare parts are to be used.
All safety measures and laws in the user country
are to be followed. You should use the tractor's or
the tool bearer's operators manual.

Noise

In most EU countries Working Environment
Authority recommends the use of hearing
protectors if noise levels in the driver's cab exceed
80 dB(A).
Employers must safe guard their drivers from the
risks posed by high noise levels.

Protective footwear

Personnel attaching the Sweeper to the vehicle's
linkage system or detaching it again should wear
protective footwear.
