5.5 Control unit software
Updating and reading out the data
For the control unit with plugged in USB flash drive to be
switched on, the USB flash drive including its connector must
not be longer than 20 mm. Otherwise the housing cannot be
closed. External hard drives must not be connected, the con-
trol unit would not work (max. 100 mA power supply). Before
use, the USB flash drive must be given a name via a Win-
dows PC.
When a USB flash drive is connected to the control unit,
it will be recognised automatically. An acoustic signal is
heard during connection and disconnection. Then the data
exchange menu will appear with these selection options:
Software update
Data read-out
Read in parameter
If menu 0 System information is displayed, (if a USB flash
drive is connected) the ESC button can be used to select the
previously described data exchange menu.
Updating the software
Ensure that there is a firmware file (*.bin) on the 1st level
of the USB stick (not in a subfolder).
Connect the USB flash drive,

Select the required file and follow the instructions on the
screen.
Enter the expert password and confirm with OK.
The reading in takes place automatically.
Reading out data
Connect USB flash drive.
Select data storage and confirm with OK.
Files with the respective system settings and the log book
are saved on the USB stick (*.csv)
Read in parameter
Ensure that there is a parameter file
(446-103_KesselData.csv) on the USB stick.
Connect the USB flash drive,
appears.

(1000) and confirm with OK.
The reading in takes place automatically.
