Tips and tricks:
Use only pure, not too finely ground espresso coffee powder. Coffee
substitutes or coffee extract contain sticky substances which clog the espresso
maker. Coffee powder that is ground too fine can also clog the sieve of the
espresso maker.
You can make the flavour stronger or milder by adjusting the quantity of
coffee powder.
The espresso maker can also be used to brew fewer cups than stated on the
package. However, there is a possibility that the coffee will not be hot
enough. Therefore, we recommend pre-heating the top part of the pot with
hot water.
Cleaning and care
ttention: Never immerse the base plate and the lower half of the pot in
water or other liquids and do not clean them in the dishwasher, as this can
cause a short circuit.
Cleaning after each use:
1. Let your espresso maker cool down before cleaning it.
2. Do not immerse the base plate and the bottom of the lower part in water
and do not clean them in the dishwasher. Wipe these parts off with a
slightly moistened cloth.
3. Unscrew the espresso maker and clean the remaining parts in clear water.
We recommend not to clean them in the dishwasher. Rinse out the lower
half of the pot on the inside only, and clean it on the outside only with a
damp cloth.
4. llow the appliance to dry completely. We recommend unscrewing the
single parts for storage.
Regular thorough cleaning and descaling:
You should thoroughly clean and descale your espresso maker from time to
time. The intervals at which you should do this are determined by the lime
content of your water. If there are minor limescale deposits in the water
container, we recommend using citric acid or vinegar for gentle descaling.
