• Attention: The espresso maker becomes very hot when in use. In the event
of contact with hot surfaces there is a risk of being burned. Please only take
hold of the espresso maker by the handle and the knob on the lid and use
an oven cloth or glove, if necessary. Do not carry or move the appliance
while in operation or as long as it is still hot.
• Before using the appliance, make sure that the base plate as well as the
underside of the bottom half of the pot are completely dry. Otherwise,
there is a risk of short circuit.
• Fill the lower part with water to just below the safety valve - not higher. The
valve must be above the water level, since otherwise it will become
clogged with lime deposits, which can impair the function of the valve as
well as safety.
• Hot steam may be released from the safety valve.

• Before using the espresso maker, make sure that it has been assembled
properly and is firmly closed.
• Do not open the lid before the boiling process has come to an end. Do not
unscrew the espresso maker before it is disconnected from the power
supply and has cooled down.

• Never, under any circumstances, operate the appliance with milk or other
liquids.
