Safety instructions
• Read this instruction manual carefully before you put the appliance into
operation for the first time!
• Include this instruction manual with the appliance if it is passed on to other

• If the appliance is used or handled in an inappropriate manner, we cannot
be held responsible for any ensuing damage. This appliance is intended for
domestic use only. Do not use the appliance outdoors.
• The espresso maker is suitable only for making espresso coffee in domestic
households. Use the espresso maker only for the intended purpose.
• Start by verifying that the type of current and the supply voltage are the
same as stated on the rating plate.
• Refrain from touching the espresso maker or the power plug when your
hands are wet or moist.
• Do not use a power outlet that is already in use for other appliances.
• Operate the espresso maker with the original base station. Do not place
the appliance on other sources of heat or open flames.
• Operate the espresso maker only under adult supervision and beyond the
reach of children.
• Attention: Place the espresso maker on a suitable stable surface and do
not operate it close to cooktops, gas flames or other hot surfaces. Position
the appliance in such a way that no one can trip over the cable.
• This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they are supervised or have been instructed
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and they understand the
hazards involved.
• Never allow children to play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance are to be carried out by adults only.
• Do not operate this appliance using an external timer or a separate
remote control.
