INSTALLATION AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
ENG
1.
INTRODUCTION
ECO10R is a room thermostat. ECO10F, ECO10FS and ECOINTRO10F are floor thermostats. The thermo-
stats are mounted as the cover of a 1-component mounting box or as a part of a multiple-component
instrument panel.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Installation must only be carried out by a electrically skilled person.
Read this manual carefully before starting the installation work.
This manual must be stored in a safe location and be available for future installation and service.
The information provided in this manual in no way exempts the user of responsibility to follow all ap-
plicable codes and safety standards.
3.

BEFORE INSTALLATION

3.1. Check that all the parts and tools needed for the installation are available. This package contains a
thermostat, an adjustment knob, a lid, a covering plate, an additional connector for earthing wires, a sen-
sor cable (ECO10F, ECO10FS and ECOINTRO10F) and this manual.
3.2. Check that heating load is equivalent to the thermostat power endurance.
3.3. Check the insulation resistance and circuit resistance of the heating load controlled by the thermostat.
4.
INSTALLATION, figures 1, 2 and 4
4.1. Place the sensor cable in a dry protective tube between heating cables (ECO10F, ECO10FS and
ECOINTRO10F). NOTE! Make sure that there is not water in the protective tube.
4.2. Connect the earthing wires (PE) to the separate additional connector.
4.3. Connect the thermostat to the mains and load according to figures 1 and 2. The thermostat has
spring connectors. Stripping length is 9 mm. Connect the sensor cable to the sensor marked connector
(ECO10F, ECO10FS and ECOINTRO10F). Connect the control of temperature reduction to T- marked con-
nector. Any phase can be used to control the temperature reduction. Disconnected the connectors from
the spring connectors by twisting and pulling at the same time. Use a residual circuit breaker according
to local installation regulations.
4.4. Install the thermostat into the mounting box with screws.
4.5. Install the thermostat lid, cover plate and adjustment knob. Cover the thermostat from potential
dust during construction work.
5.
COMMISSIONING AND OPERATION, figures 3, 5 ... 7
5.1. Switch on the heating from the switch A (figure 3). The signal light B is green when the thermostat
is functioning and the light turns red when the load is connected. After switching on the ECO10R room
thermostat, it takes several hours until the thermostat is adapted to the current conditions and accurate
functioning begins.
5.2. ECO10R: Check the temperature setting after 24 hours and calibrate the adjustment knob to match
the real temperature if needed (figure 5). Remove the temperature adjustment knob and shaft without
changing the temperature setting. Pull the knob out from the teething of the shaft. Put the shaft to the
original position and set the adjustment knob to the teething so that the knob indicates the real room
temperature. Set the desired temperature.
5.3. The fixed temperature reduction (-4°C) of the thermostat affects straight to the temperature set-
ting of the floor (ECO10F, ECO10FS and ECOINTRO10F) or room (ECO10R). The reduction is activated by
external control voltage. Temperature reduction is not indicated by any signal light (figure 6).
5.4. You can limit the adjustment range with the limiters of the adjustment knob (figure 7).
5.5. When thermostat is functioning normally, you can hear a faint click when the load is switched on and
off.
