POWER SUPPLY

AC operation
Before plugging the AC power cord into the AC socket, be sure the voltage is correct.
The AC power cord storage is designed to store the cord when the device is not in use.
Note:
In order to disconnect the unit from the mains completely, the AC power cord should be
removed from the mains socket completely.
In case of malfunction due to electrostatic discharge or fast transient (burst), remove
and reconnect the power supply.

USING THE DEVICE FOR THE FIRST TIME

1. Place the device on a flat surface.
2.
Carefully extend the telescopic antenna located on the top of the device. Adjust the
antenna so that it is vertically extending above the device.
3.
Plug the AC plug into the AC socket. The device will start up and automatically
perform an auto scan of the FM waveband.
4. When the scan is completed, the first 6 strong FM stations will be stored as presets.
After this the device will switch to standby.

FM RADIO MODE

Seeking a station
1.
Press the On/Off button to turn on the device.
2.
If the radio has been used before, the last listened to station will be played.
3.
To seek a station, press the Tuning knob. The scan stops automatically when it
finds a station of sufficient signal strength.
4.
After a few seconds, the display will update and show the station name if RDS
information is being received.
5. To find other stations, press the Tuning knob again.
6.
To seek a station in an opposite direction, rotate the Tuning knob clockwise (to
scan from low frequency to high frequency) or rotate anti-clockwise (to scan from
high frequency to low frequency), and press the Tuning knob.
7.
When the waveband end is reached, the radio will recommence tuning from the
opposite waveband end.
Manual tuning
1.
Press the On/Off button to turn on the device.
2.
Press the Source button to select the FM Radio mode.
3.
Rotate the Tuning knob to reach the required FM frequency.
The radio will change the frequency in steps of 50 kHz.
4.
Rotate the antenna to get the best reception. If the radio is tuned to a station
of sufficient signal strength with RDS information present, the display will show the
station name.
5.
When the waveband end is reached, the radio will recommence tuning from the
opposite waveband end.
Storing preset stations
There are 6 memory presets in the FM radio.
1.
Press the On/Off button to turn on the device.
2.
Press the Source button to switch to FM Radio mode.
3.
Tune to the required station.
4.
Press and hold the required Preset button until the radio beeps and shows "saved".
5.
Repeat step 3 and 4 for the remaining presets.
6.
Stations stored in the preset memories can be over-written by following the above
procedure.
