An estimation of the level of exposure to vibra-
tion should also take into account the times
when the tool is switched off or when it is run-
ning but not actually doing the job. This may
significantly reduce the exposure level over the
total working period.
Identify additional safety measures to protect the
operator from the effects of vibration such as:
maintain the tool and the accessories, keep the
hands warm, organisation of work patterns.

Before any work on the machine itself, pull
the mains plug.

Auxiliary Handle

Mounting the Auxiliary Handle
(see figures A – C)
Slide the spacer tube 14 into the housing and
tighten with the knurled screw 13.
Spread the auxiliary handle 2 somewhat and
place it over both ends of the spacer tube 14.
Insert screw 16 through the auxiliary handle and
the spacer tube and tighten with the knurled
nut 15.

Rotating the Auxiliary Handle (see figure D)
The auxiliary handle 2 can be set to any position
for a secure and low-fatigue working posture.
Loosen the knurled nut 15 and adjust the auxil-
iary handle 2 to the requested position. Tighten
the knurled nut again.
Offsetting the Auxiliary Handle (see figure E)
For sawing close to edges, the auxiliary handle 2
can be offset.
Loosen the knurled screw 13 and slide the auxil-
iary handle 2 with the spacer tube 14 to the
requested position. Tighten the knurled screw
again.
Inserting/Replacing Saw Blades
Choice of Saw blades
Choose the saw blades with respect to the ma-
terial being worked.
For sawing light building materials, only use
carbide-tipped saw blades. Do not use saw
blades intended for sawing wood or plastics.
Inserting the Saw Blades (see figures I – J)
Turn the machine around so that the base plate
faces upward.
If required, remove the extraction duct 8 (see
"Extraction Duct", page 18).
Always insert the saw blade first whose corre-
sponding driving pin 17 is closer to the motor.
Note: Each time after switching off, the driving
pins 17 for the saw blades are in a different posi-
tion. The illustration shows a random position.
Press and hold the SDS button 9. This causes the
engaging pin 18 to move back and the saw blades
can be hooked in.
Wear protective gloves when mounting the
saw blades. Danger of injury when touching
the saw blades.
Whenever working on the machine, always
mount the saw blade guard 11 on the saw
blades.
The lettering on the saw blade 12 must
always face outward and correspond with
the colour of the driving pin 17.
