Operating Instructions
Read and understand these instructions before installing, operating, or maintaining
the equipment.
!
DANGER
Hazardous voltage.
Will cause death or serious injury.
Disconnect power before working on
equipment.
Reliable functioning of the equipment is only ensured with certified components.
Installation
For dimension drawings, see Figure I (Dimensions in mm)
To be mounted on level surfaces using: 2 M5 screws for 3SE.1.0/230
Always add washers and spring washers.
Any mounting position possible.

Parts are packed as loose parts. Mount intermediate plate (b) on the position switch
(a). Install base plate (c) at the mounting location. Put the position switch into place
and lock it by means of the interlocking lever (d).

Modification options
All of the drives can be replaced by other drive concepts.
All of the drives can be offset by 4 x 90 °, so that (depending on the form of enclosure)
actuation can be carried out from four sides.
For 3SE.1.0/303/404-.GW, UW, WW, VW
For 3SE.230-.GW, U, W, V
These drives can be offset on the drive shaft by 10 ° to 10 ° and turned around by
180 ° (screw must be loosened).
Securing against position change (fixing)
If used as a safety position switch, positive fixing is required. If fixed by means of
oblong holes, locating pins or fixing pads must additionally be used.
Protection against actuation and overriding
Position switches should be arranged so that they will not be damaged during actua-
tion and overriding. They must therefore not be used as a mechanical stop. The height
of the skate or the cam should be less than the entire travel in the switch to avoid me-
chanical loading of the switch or its fixing arrangement.
Maintenance
Replacing the switching insert
Remove the screws of the enclosure cover, lift the switching insert from the upper
edge with a screwdriver. Push the new insert onto the two spigots in the enclosure
until it reaches its stop position.
