PROFESSIONAL WORK TENTS
5. CONSTRUCTION & DECONSTRUCTION
Before commencing the construction or deconstruction, first carefully read all of the safety measures
listed in chapter 4. Consult chapter 3 for a list of the required parts. Mount the various parts in the
indicated order. The work tent can be constructed without the use of any additional tools. For scaffold
heights exceeding 4 meters, you will need a rope to manually hoist up the tent materials.
5.1 CONSTRUCTION
Step 1: Make sure that the scaffold you will be mounting the work tent on is mounted in a stable
fashion, and properly anchored.
Step 2: Depending on the height, mount two double swivel joints on one side of the scaffold frame, and
two on the opposite side (at the back of the rolling scaffold).
Step 3: Put both stanchions in the swivel joints and twist them to tighten them.
Step 4: Place the first strut in the bend on the stanchions, and use the safety clips to secure them.
Step 5: Slide the second strut through the loop on the tarp. Then attach it to the top end of the
stanchion, and use the safety clips from the outside in to secure it.
Step 6: Guide the tarp across the first strut that you have put in the stanchion' s bend.
Step 7: Run the spanners through the tarp' s eyelets and the third horizontal strut.
Step 8: Click the third horizontal strut onto the vertical section of the stanchions, stretching the tarp
taut.
The work tent is now ready to be used.

5.2 DECONSTRUCTION

To safely deconstruct the scaffold, you need to complete the steps outlined in paragraph 5.1 in the exact
opposite order. This means you need to start by removing the spanners (be careful, as they are tensio-
ned), then detaching and removing the bottom strut, etc. Before you start deconstructing the work tent,
check whether the scaffold is still level. Note: do not drop any of the parts; instead, use a rope to gently
lower them down to the ground, or if you are working with more than 1 person, hand them down.
5.3 LINKING
When working with linked scaffolds, you have the option of also linking the work tents. Every tarp is
equipped with Velcro, and when these Velcro strips are pressed together, a water-tight, continuous cover
is created. When linking tarps, one stanchion per unit is removed (same as for rolling scaffold frames).
