The way in which to install the CAST IRON WOOD BURNER H-03 is decisively
influenced by safety and its smooth functioning.
It is very important to install it well. For this reason it is advisable for this to be done by
a professional.
IMPORTANT! All the local regulations, including those which refer to national or European regulations,
must be complied with when installing the appliance.
NOTE: When any type of insulation is installed it is necessary to take into account that the following
recommendations must be fulfilled in order to safeguard the working of the heat hood:
The insulation can never be in contact with the cast iron casing of the appliance, this
3.
would prevent heat being transferred from the
cast iron to the atmosphere and to the
subsequent breakage of the part.
4. There must be a minimum separation
distance between the cast iron and the
insulation.
A. - Installation.
For the installation of Wood Burner H-03, a
chimney (flue) must be installed, with suitable metal
tubing projecting 1 meter above the ridge of the
roof.
If there is a chimney built, the installation
must be carried out linking this with the cast iron
Wood Burner using tubing which connects perfectly
to the smoke outlet of the appliance, and in turn to
the existing chimney. (See Fig. - 2)
The sealing of the joints of the chimney
sections is very important. (See Fig. - 7, Page. 10).
It is obligatory for the air to circulate by
natural convection in the place where the wood
burner is to be installed. For this reason, open
some windows in the lower part of the casing and
upper part of the hood which allows the circulation
of the hot air concentrated inside it, thus fulfilling a
double function:
- further introduction of hot air to the building.
- preventing possible cracks in the casing.
HERGÓM has some decorative grates
20x20 and 40x20 cm. which can be supplied
optionally.
Important: The grates must be situated in such a
way that they cannot be blocked.
