Probable Causes
A. GFCI trips.
B. Suction blocked.
C. Jets are blocked.
D. The motor has overheated and
protection device has activated.
A. The pump banding straps that
hold the pump to the bath have
not been cut.
B. Dry or dislodged jet O-ring
(squeal).
A. Pump is shimmed too high.
B. Small air leak at pump inlet.
C. Motor/pump is not working.
D. Control is not working.
A. Piping leaks.
B. Sealant or gasket failure at holes
through finished walls or
wall-surrounds.
A. Blocked channel drainage.
A. Seam at finished wall not
sealed.

Recommended Action
A. Identify the source of fault and
correct it. If the problem persists,
refer to your installer or dealer.
B. Remove the obstruction.
C. Remove the blockage.
D. Check for blockage at the motor
vents. Remove blockage and allow
motor to cool. Check for suction
blockage. Remove the blockage and
allow motor to cool. Check for jet
blockage. Remove the blockage and
allow motor to cool.
A. Cut the pump banding straps with
tin snips.
B. Remove jet, replace and lubricate
O-ring, and reinstall jet.
A. Lower pump/control to subfloor
level.
B. Securely tighten nut(s) on intake
side of pump.
C. Replace motor/pump. Refer to
installer/dealer.
D. Replace control. Refer to
installer/dealer.
A. Remove the access panel at the
bath drain end, if provided. Inspect
the supply piping and fittings for
leaks. Fill the bath to above the
overflow drain connection. Check
the drain and overflow connection
and the piping for leaks. Repair
any piping leaks. Refer to dealer.
B. Loosen or remove covers or flanges
according to the manufacturer's
recommendations. Replace any
defective gaskets or seals. Apply
silicone or other sealant as
required. Refer to dealer.
A. Using a sharp wooden or plastic
object, scrape any buildup from the
seam. Increase the frequency of
cleaning.
A. Seal the seam with silicone or other
sealant according to the
manufacturer's instructions.
