PLEASE NOTE!
When processing lacquers, plastics or similar substances, gases which are harmful
to health and / or explosive may be produced. Make sure that the area you are
working in is always suffi ciently ventilated! There is a danger of fi re. In addition,
we recommend wearing a face mask to prevent you from breathing in toxic gases.
The distance between the outlet pipe (1) or the nozzle and the object which is to be
treated and the required heat (power level) are dependent on the material of the object.
Always test the distance fi rst on a small, inconspicuous spot on the object. Start off with a
larger distance and the low power level and adjust it if necessary. This makes it possible
to determine the optimum distance and power level for the respective application.
Using the nozzles focuses the heat jet, which makes it possible to work more accurately.
Detaching Lacquers and Stickers (Picture F1)
1. Move the On / Off switch (3) to position I.
2. Apply the hot air to the lacquer or the sticker for a short time. The eff ect of the heat is
to detach the lacquer or sticker from the surface. Please Note: If lacquer is treated for
too long and / or at too high a temperature, it may burn, which makes it more diffi cult
to remove.
3. Remove the lacquer or sticker with a spatula.
Killing Weeds (Picture F2)
1. Attach the extension rod (D) and the handle (A) to the motor unit (F) (see the "Acces-
sories" chapter – "Attaching / Detaching the Extension Rod and Handle").
2. Attach the weed killer nozzle (B) on the outlet pipe (1) (see the "Accessories" chapter
– "Attaching / Detaching Nozzles").
3. Move the On / Off switch (3) to position II.
4. Hold the weed killer nozzle directly over the weed for a few seconds. It is not nec-
essary to see the weed burn completely. The eff ect of the high temperature of the
heat jet is that the internal cell structure is destroyed down to the roots and the weed
consequently dies within a few days.
Lighting Charcoal (Picture F3)
1. Attach the grill lighter nozzle (C) on the outlet pipe (1) (see the "Accessories" chap-
ter – "Attaching / Detaching Nozzles").
2. Hold the grill lighter nozzle under the charcoal in the grill.
3. Move the On / Off switch (3) to position II. The special holes in the grill lighter nozzle
cause the hot air to get to the charcoal from below and make it smoulder.
