WARNING – Danger of Fire
■ Do not connect the device along with other consumers (with a high wattage) to a mul-
tiple socket in order to prevent overloading and a possible short circuit (fi re).
■ Do not use any extension cables.
■ Do not insert anything into the air inlets of the device and make sure that these do not
become clogged. The device could otherwise overheat and be damaged.
■ In the event of a fi re: Do not extinguish with water! Smother the fl ames with a fi re
blanket or a suitable fi re extinguisher.
NOTICE – Risk of Damage to Material and Property
■ The device must be switched off when inserting or removing the mains plug.
■ Never pull or carry the device by the connecting cable. When you pull it out of the plug
socket, always pull on the mains plug and never the mains cable!
■ Do not place or lay any heavy objects on the connecting cable.
■ Pull the mains plug out of the plug socket if an error occurs during operation, when
there is a power cut or before a thunderstorm.
■ Protect the device from other heat sources, naked fl ames, sub-zero temperatures,
persistent moisture, wet conditions and impacts.
■ Use only original accessories from the manufacturer in order to guarantee that there
is no interference that may prevent the device from working and to avoid possible
damage.

PLEASE NOTE!
■ The device must be switched off and the mains plug disconnected from the mains
power before assembling and taking apart or changing accessories.
Attaching / Detaching the Extension Rod and Handle (Picture C)
1. Plug the extension rod (D) into the mount on the motor unit (F) and push it in as far
as it will go.
2. Guide one connecting piece (E) with the wide opening fi rst over the free end of the
extension rod as far as the motor unit and twist it tight.
3. Place the other connecting piece with the narrow opening onto the free end of the
extension rod.
4. Plug the free end of the extension rod into the mount on the handle (A) and push it
in as far as it will go.
5. Twist the connecting piece tight on the handle.
The device is disassembled in the reverse order.
If the device is to be used without the extension rod, place a connecting piece
onto the mount on the motor unit and twist it tight.
