- Page 2 EDGE CONTROL OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS • Edge control functions to cut off the spreading of materials on the left side only – use this feature when spreading along flower beds, sidewalks, driveways, and any area where you want to keep unwanted materials from landing • To use edge control, move red lever (located on handle) to the “ON” position – this can be done while walking or standing still • To stop the blockage of material simply move lever to the “OFF” position STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE • When finished spreading empty hopper of any remaining material • Thoroughly wash spreader and allow to dry before storing • To fold down handle: - Simply remove the bottom two bolts on the handle - Loosen two thumb screws and fold down handle - Replace two bottom bolts - Tighten thumb screws completely CHAPIN INTERNATIONAL, INC. - Page 6 INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN DEL CONTROL DEL BORDE • El control del borde sirve para evitar el esparcido de materiales sólo en el lado izquierdo - use esta función cuando esparza a lo largo de cajetes de flores, banquetas, caminos de acceso y en cualquier área en la que desea evitar que caigan materiales indeseados. • Para usar el control del borde, mueva la palanca roja (ubicada en la manija) a la posición “ON” (Encendido) - esto puede hacerse mientras está en movimiento o detenido. • Para dejar de bloquear el material simplemente mueva la palanca a la posición “OFF” (Apagado). ALMACENAJE Y MANTENIMIENTO • Cuando termine de esparcir, quite cualquier material restante de la tolva • Lave el esparcidor por completo y déjelo secar antes de guardarlo • Para bajar la manija: - Sólo retire los dos pernos inferiores de la manija - Afloje los dos tornillos mariposa y doble la manija hacia abajo - Vuelva a colocar los dos pernos inferiores CHAPIN INTERNATIONAL, INC. NO abra la caja de velocidades en ningún momento, pueden entrar desechos e interferir con la funcionalidad. • Cuando se utiliza sal de roca y productos que se derriten asegúrese de vaciar la tolva al terminar de distribuir cada vez que lo utilice. Estos materiales pueden reconstituirse en un bloque sólido durante la noche con la humedad. También pueden dañar las piezas de metal si se exponen durante largos períodos de tiempo. - Page 10 INSTRUCTIONS D’UTILISATION DU CONTRÔLE DE BORDURE • Le contrôle de bordure sert à arrêter l’épandage de matériaux du côté gauche uniquement - utilisez cette fonction lors de l’épandage le long de parterres de fleurs, d’allées, de routes et de zones dans lesquelles aucun matériau ne doit être répandu. • Pour utiliser le contrôle de bordure, mettez le levier rouge (situé sur la poignée) sur la position « ON » - vous pouvez le faire en marchant ou en étant immobile. • Pour débloquer le matériau, il vous suffit de mettre le levier sur la position « OFF » STOCKAGE ET MAINTENANCE • Une fois l’épandage terminé, videz le matériau restant contenu dans la trémie • Lavez soigneusement l’épandeuse et laissez-la sécher avant le stockage • Pour replier la poignée : -Il vous suffit de retirer les deux boulons du bas de la poignée -De desserrer les deux vis à tête et de replier la poignée -De replacer les deux boulons du bas CHAPIN INTERNATIONAL, INC. - Page 12 Remise en Remise en marche marche Arrêt ici Arrêt ici RANGEMENT ET ENTRETIEN • Quand l’épandage est terminé, vider la trémie de toute matière restante. • Bien laver l’épandeur et le laisser sécher avant de le ranger. • Les engrenages sont lubrifiés à vie à l’usine. NE PAS OUVRIR la boîte d’engrenages à tout moment que ce soit car des débris peuvent y pénétrer et interférer avec la fonctionnalité. • Dans le cas d’une utilisation avec du sel gemme et des produits de déglaçage, veiller à vider la trémie à la fin de l’épandage, chaque fois que vous l’utilisez. Avec l’humidité, ces matières peuvent se reconstituer sous forme de bloc solide pendant la nuit. Elles peuvent aussi abîmer les pièces métalliques en cas d’exposition pendant des périodes prolongées.
