Changing the fuse
The voltage converters are protected on the DC-supply side via customary flat fuses
(FKS-motor fuses) against short-circuits or overloads.
If the voltage converter does not switch on any more (operation switch and status
indicator do not light), so it is probable that a DC-input fuse(s) is/are defective.
To change the fuse(s) proceed as followed:
• Switch the voltage converter off and disconnect all connected devices from the
converter.
• Remove all fuses (8) from the mounting and replace them with new fuses with the
same safety value (See technical data)
• While changing the fuses, make sure that the flat fuses sit well and securely.
Warning! Only fuses of the prescribed value can be used as replace-
ment. Bridging the fuse holder or using mended fuses is not allowed.
Contact inspection
Regularly inspect the firmness of the screw contacts to avoid contact resistance
(loss of power).
The inspection intervals depend on the environmental conditions:
- Device and wire are not exposed to mechanical stress
- Device and wire are exposed to slight stress
Fixing faults
With the power converter you have acquired a reliable and falt free product.
However, problems and faults can occur.
This is why we would like to explain to you how you can solve these problems:
Please observe the security measures!
approx. once a year,
approx. every 3 – 4 months.
