Mounting instructions

Note: The sensor components designated with numbers can be seen from the
figure in chapter Structure of the sensor (page 32).
Direct mounting
•
Attach connecting piece with G ½ internal thread to the tube. The length
of the connecting piece should be such that the sensor tip immerses
into the centre of the tube (exception: Tubes up to DN 100, into which
the sensor must immerse by at least 58.5 mm.
•
Pull protective sleeve from sensor head 9.
•
Insert sensor 6 into the pipe connection and screw it into the appropri-
ate thread bore of the connecting piece using threaded piece 5 (pipe
thread G
•
If a pressure-tight connection is required, the mounting thread 5 must
be wrapped with a commercially available sealing tape, for example
made of PTFE, prior to mounting.
•
Set the desired position on mounting block 4 using a fork wrench SW
