Changing the remote control battery
The battery is pre-installed. Only the transportation protec-
tion needs to be removed.
Before inserting the battery, check whether it is clean, and clean
it if necessary.

Set-up
The solar lamp should not be placed near to other light sources
such as street lamps or other lamps, so that the LEDs can be
switched on automatically.
Position the solar lamp so that the solar fi eld is able to absorb
direct sunlight the whole day preferably.
1. Pull the ground spike (2) out of the stem (1) and attach it to this
the other way around.
2. Insert the solar unit mount into the open end of the stem.
3. Secure the solar lamp in an appropriate place using the ground
spike.
Use
The remote control only functions when the On / Off switch (3)
on the solar unit (4) is pressed.
1. Activation – To switch the solar lamp on, push the On / Off
button on the solar unit.
The battery can now charge up in daylight. When darkness
sets in, the LEDs automatically switch on. When it gets light,
the LEDs switch off and the battery is charged up via the solar
fi eld.
Please note: Storage battery power can be severely impacted
by extremely low temperatures.
2. Selecting a colour – Push the corresponding colour selection
button (a) on the remote control to switch between the different
colours.
3. Setting the timer – With the timer buttons 4H and 8H (b), you
can set the timer.
4. Turning LEDs on / off – To turn the LEDs on or off, press the
ON or OFF button (c) on the remote control.
Please note: The solar lamp remains in stand-by, so that the
storage battery can continue to charge during daylight.
5. Deactivation – To switch the solar lamp off, push the On / Off
button on the solar unit.

Disposal
The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the pack-
aging in an environmentally friendly manner and take it to a
recycling centre.
This product is governed by the European Direc-
tive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic
equipment (WEEE). Do not dispose of this product,
which has a pre-installed storage battery, as normal
household waste, but through an offi cially approved
disposal operation in accordance with environmen-
tal regulations.
The battery should be removed before the remote
control is disposed of and should be disposed of
separately from the remote control at suitable col-
lection points.
