This appliance is intended for domestic and
not industrial use. Keep the operating
instructions in a safe place!
Safety information

Electric shock and fire risk
Connect and operate the appliance only in
accordance with the specifications on the rating
plate.
If the cable or appliance is damaged, do NOT use
the appliance.
Keep children away from the appliance.
After using the appliance or if a fault occurs, pull
out the plug.
For safety reasons, repairs e.g. replacing
a damaged cable, should only be carried out
by our Customer service division.
Do NOT insert objects into the toaster slots!
The toaster must be operated in an upright
position.
Bread can burn. NEVER operate the toaster near
or underneath curtains or other combustible
materials and ALWAYS keep your eye on the
toaster. NEVER cover the toaster slot(s)!
The upper section of the toaster may become hot
during toasting. Do not touch. Take hold of the
bread roll rack by the plastic handle only.
Before using your appliance for the
first time
Heat up the toaster without bread at the highest
setting near an open window at least 4x, then
leave to cool down.
Toasting
Do not operate the appliance without
the crumb drawer!
Setting the degree of toasting
Settings 1 6
Medium degree of browning: Setting 3 4
golden yellow
Toast food golden yellow instead of dark or
brown, remove burnt remnants!
Do not overtoast starchy foods, especially
cereal and potato products (production of
acrylamides minimised).
Switching ON
Switching OFF prematurely
Press the Stop button.
To facilitate removal of toast, push up the
ON switch.
One slice: Set a lower degree of toasting than for
two slices.
If bread sticks, the toaster automatically
switches off. Pull out the plug, wait for the toaster
to cool down and then carefully remove the
bread.
Warming up
Toasting degree 2-4
Do NOT place aluminium foil on the bread roll
rack! Do NOT toast bread at the same time!
TT 462 only
If toast is too light or if warming cold bread:
Press the ON switch and then the
Retoast button.
Toasting frozen bread:
Set normal degree of toasting; press the ON
switch and then the Thaw button.
Cleaning
Pull out the plug. Remove crumbs from under the
bread roll rack with a hard paint brush.
Pull out the crumb tray and wipe.
Wipe the housing with a damp cloth only.
Disposal
Please ask your dealer or inquire at your local
authority about current means of disposal.

The guarantee conditions for this appliance are as
defined by our representative in the country in
Fig. 2
which it is sold. Details regarding these conditions
can be obtained from the dealer from whom the
appliance was purchased. The bill of sale or
receipt must be produced when making any
claim under the terms of this guarantee.
