• Never use the equipment in an easily inflammable atmosphere (e.g. close to combustible gas or spray
bottles). Risk of explosion and fire!
• Do not cover the heater. Risk of fire!
• Never install the equipment close to water taps, washbasins or other water sources. Also never
connect your heater to a power source if the surface of the equipment is damp.
• Do not place any objects into the openings on the equipment. Danger of injury, electric schock or
damage to the equipment!
• During installation please ensure that the connection wire is not squeezed or damaged by sharp edges.
In the event that this kind of damage has created open sections of wire the equipment should on no
account be re-connected to the power supply. Risk of fatal injury!
• Always remove the mains plug from the socket before cleaning the equipment. Clean only with a dry
cloth.
• Always remove the mains plug if the equipment is out of operation for a long period. Store your plant
lamp in a protected, dry place during this time.
• If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible then the equipment must be taken out of
operation and secured against unintended use. This is the case if:
- the equipment or the mains cable are visibly damaged
- the equipment is no longer working
- after long periods of storage in unfavourable conditions
- after rough transportation
• Equipment that is operated using mains power is not for the use of children.
• The equipment is not suitable for use in cattle raising areas.
• These operating instructions are a constituent part of the equipment and should be kept in a safe place.
If the equipment is passed on to third parties the operating instructions should be given at the same time.
• In commercial buildings the accident prevention guidelines of the trade association for electrical
systems and operating materials must be observed.
• Never pour fluid over the equipment. There is a risk of fire or a dangerous electric shock. If this
should nevertheless occur then remove the plug from the mains and consult a professional.
• If you are unsure of the correct connection method or if you have questions that are not clarified in the
operating instructions then please contact the manufacturer or a professional.
• This equipment must not be used by persons (including children) with limited physical, sensory or mental
abilities or by persons who do not have sufficient experience or knowledge of handling the product except
if they are supervised or instructed while using the equipment by a person who is responsible for their
safety.
4. Installation and Operation
1. The plant lamp must not be connected to the power during installation. Remove the plug from the
mains.
2. After installing the plant light you can begin to light your plants. The lighting duration and time depend
of the type of plant. Please consult with your gardener. To achieve time-controlled lighting we recommend
installing a timer clock (suitable for damp rooms). This will allow you to exactly determine the duration
and time of the lighting.
5. Cleaning and Maintenance
• Always remove the plug from the mains power when you clean the heater.
• Light dust can be removed from the casing with a soft cloth or a vacuum cleaner using the brush
attachment.
• Wipe the outside of the plant lamp occasionally with a damp cloth (not dripping) and use a solution of
mild cleanser and water. Dry the casing carefuly with a soft cloth before putting the equipment back into
operation. CAUTION: Do not allow water to run inside as this could cause a fire or a short circuit.
• Never submerge the equipment in water. Risk of fatal injury!
• No further maintenance is necessary or recommended by the user. If the equipment requires servicing
please send it to the nearest authorised service point.
